In the early 90's Caribbean Industrial Membranes, Inc. establish headquarters in Carolina Puerto Rico as distributors and representative for the Caribbean region, for the prime purpose of offering state of the art perfecting and monitoring application techniques for liquid applied Membranes, Coating manufactured by Pacific Polymers and ER Systems and Leading Manufacturers for Build Chemical Products. CIM Caribbean is a supplier of waterproofing products offering design certified professionals’ applicators, and contractors in a single-source solution, CIM. Caribbean offers from its worldwide supplier of deck coating, roofing, and moisture barrier systems. These systems have been installed worldwide and are supported by an ever-expanding family of distributors and contractors. The company has applied in its own name and with its own forces over millions of square feet ranging from roofing, decking, waste tank linings, to potable water reservoirs. From the runways at Taoyuan International Airport in Taipei to Pier 11, located in lower Manhattan’s business district, you will find successful projects that has exceeded all expectations under the most extreme conditions. CIM Caribbean has experimented throughout 35 years and has proven successful application of most liquid cold applied coatings including Chevron, pacific polymers, ER Systems, and our own PU 25 years Flexatron warranty Systems for the tropical climate in Puerto Rico roofing / building waterproofing needs with in the past and present infrastructures for over 35 years. Our Mission
Due to early systems used to avoid infrastructure corrosion and spillage, it was called for the use of a state-of-the-art chemical resistance polyurethane technology that will provide a tough, durable, resilient, impermeable barrier to water and most aqueous reagents. Under steel plank and tank perimeter corrosion, long a major problem at chemical processing petroleum industries facilities, has been virtually eliminated by judicious use of polyurethane membrane. In large oil refineries, polyurethane membrane is used as a sealant, applied over base material before the tank is installed, acting as an impervious barrier to ground water and movement from beneath. Concurrent extension of the membrane across the annular ring and around the outer perimeter of the base prevents entry of atmospheric moisture. Due to its tensile strength and elongation properties, polyurethane membrane can withstand extremes structural movement.

In the early mid's 70's, Caribbean Industrial Membranes Inc. the matter was fully understood when certified contractors (applicators) began the use of polyurethane membrane system of what was later to become the cost-effective solution to a broad range of problems in today construction and industries. Successful performance confirms over the years that polyurethane membrane products are the ultimate solution in providing decades of service in applications for roofing, building, waterproofing, chemical containment, corrosion protection, potable water, wastewater, flooring, deck & pavements. Consideration was given to local contractors and certified applicators. Emerging from all of this, the need to develop a local distributor, Caribbean Industrial Membranes Inc., and all qualified approved applicators.

Our chief purpose is to provide to all turn key design with the latest technology in protection and lining application, service stressing good workmanship, structural integrity, pleasing appearance, greatest economy and superb longevity with low maintenance cost, exceeding in today high demanding industries with an environmentally friendly solution to a broad range of problems, on creating a seamless, impermeable barrier against harsh environments, moisture, chemical attack and abrasion, for applications ranging from roofing, decking, primary and/or secondary containment tank Lining, to potable water reservoirs, flooring, deck & pavements. This cost-effective system has been successfully used in field applications in constant service since the 1970's.

The company over a period of many years has thoroughly trained field application personnel totaling in excess of 150 people who have become experts in our system applications. Unlike work in other fields, building waterproofing and tank for water service is critical and leakage cannot be tolerated. By constant control of its field operation, Caribbean Industrial Membranes, Inc. and/or Cimtech, Inc. are able to assure the highest quality of workmanship in terms of water tightness, appearance and dimensional accuracy of its structures.

Because both companies specialize in one area of construction, the high risk often associated with leakages and damages is overcome. Inspections of waterproofing and protective coatings and linings that has been in service since the 1970's, indicates that these applications have endured the test of time and arduous service. Caribbean Industrial Membranes, Inc. and/or Cimtech, Inc., adheres to the highest standards of professional engineering when applied in the approved manner, according to good construction procedure, and subjected to normal uses and service for which it is designed. A scope of work and calculations will carry the seal of one of the company's full time registered professional technical on the job site inspector. Why Us
Over 2,000 applications have been accomplished with our polyurethane waterproofing system, including but not limited to tanks ranging in capacity from 25, 000 gallons to over a million gallons. Our Operating Procedures
Cimtech, Inc. assists clients by submitting, upon request, preliminary specs., cost and duration, for tanks, roofs, decks, potable water reservoirs, etc. to be treated with our polyurethane system. Close coordination with the client and our contractor permits early and accurate launders and other appurtenances, including accommodations for equipment. This service is provided without cost or obligation. It assures a well coordinated project from early design to full application stage. As part of its services, Cimtech, Inc., offers reliable cost estimates at preliminary stage of contracting.

This allows the consulting engineer and the client to evaluate the economy of preserving by providing a seamless, impermeable barrier against harsh environmental, moisture, chemical attack and abrasion resistance to the design structure in comparison with competing protection techniques. Preliminary estimates provided by Cimtech, Inc. are accurate and reliable. Within the limits of given time, project conditions and scope of work envisioned, we will not exceed its early estimate when the project is brought to the point of bidding. Supervision and inspection certifications are provided in the preliminary to acceptance of contracting to determine existing conditions and provide scope of work in accordance to product manufacturer. By avoiding a division of responsibility, the consulting engineer and the client can proceed with confidence that the service and performance will be executed expertly and the responsibility for its performance will be clearly shouldered by Cimtech, Inc.

Our Extended 25 Years Warranty
Cimtech, Inc. guarantees workmanship and materials on the performance portion of its applications for a five, ten or 25 years extended warranty period. If leakage or other defects appears within the warranty period. Cimtech, Inc. promptly makes repairs at its own expense upon written notice by the client that such defects have been found. It is common knowledge among consulting engineers and clients that a representative of the Caribbean Industrial Membranes, Inc. and/or Cimtech, Inc. frequently inspects installations long after they have been applied in a effort to verify that both the client and the consultant continue to be pleased with the project. Cimtech, Inc. are available on short notice anywhere in the area of operations for consultations or inspections.
